What You Won't Need

YOU DON'T NEED TO WORRY ABOUT MONEY
There are cash machines which accept major bank and credit cards, all over Israel. They pay out Shekels and Dollars debited against your account at the best possible exchange rate. You can also change money and travellers' cheques at banks or at your hotel. For more detailed currency information, click here

YOU DON'T NEED A VISA
Citizens of the United Kingdom and Eire do not need a visa to visit Israel. To check the requirements for other nationalities click on http://www.israel-embassy.org.il

YOU DON'T NEED VACCINATIONS
No vaccinations are required for UK visitors to Israel. (If you've visited a country prior to coming to Israel where cholera, typhoid or yellow fever is endemic, you will need a vaccination certificate.)

YOU DON'T NEED TO WORRY ABOUT WATER AND FRESH PRODUCE
The water is safe to drink throughout Israel, and Israel's fresh fruits and vegetables are world-class. Bottled water is available everywhere too.

ELECTRICITY
Israel’s voltage is 220 volts, like Europe. Most hotels provide hair dryers and virtually all hotel rooms have 110/220 electric shaver sockets which accept European adapters and hotels and electrical shops sell the right adapters.
